I have installed WinVDIG V 1.01 and Quicktime V 6.15 on Windows XP OS. The QT cap shows the input video via firewire, but when I go to record and save the video to disk I get an error : File not found[id-43]. Is there a way to overcome this?

To be noticed that QuickTime is a trademark registered to Apple and this is an un-official product. This means that it wasn't released by the developer(in this case Apple) and this can cause malfunctions and errors. This is the main reason why you encounter this kind of behavior. You can try to update the program's versions to the latest one, but this does not ensure the compatibility with Windows XP.
